A dog can express more with his tail in minutes, than his owner can express with his tongue in hours. He cocks his head to one side, furrows his brow in puzzlement and seem to say, “I would understand you thoroughly if you could speak more clearly. And incidentally, have you got a cookie on you?

Dogs do a good job of communicating their wants and needs to you. They are very consistent in expressing their feelings. Dogs bark when they want something. They whine when they don’t get it. They whimper when you don’t pay attention to them. If it’s time for his walk he’ll bring you his leash. We’ll some do, but most will just let you know it’s time to go.

They greet you at the door, tail wagging when you come home. Have you ever seen a dog run and hide when you come home? They are always happy to see you and what you have brought home for them. And if you didn’t bring them anything, well they love you anyway.
