Communicating With Your Dog – Part 1
Communication with your dog is achieved in several ways. You can talk to your dog. Sometimes he will understand what you are saying. You can give him hand signals. If he is trained he’ll know what they mean. Your dog is very good at reading your body language. Your dog also learns to communicate his feelings wants and needs to you.
In This series of blogs, we are going to explore each of these means of communication between you and your dog. We are going to stress consistency over and over again as this is the way you train your dog as well as yourself and other family members to properly and successfully learn to communicate with your dog.
If you have a new puppy or an older dog, you will benefit by learning each of the easy steps for better communication between you and your dog. Most of this training can be done off leash.
Your dog will love you for it. I know he loves you already but he’ll love you even more if he can understand you and knows what you expect from him.
