Keeping Your Car Clean

Let’s face it, we like to take our pets along in the car with us, but don’t like cleaning out the messes they leave behind. I’m speaking mainly of furry messes, those other messes are even less pleasant and we won’t go into detail. I’ve found that keeping my pets localized to one area of the car, like the back, is the best way to control their shedding. This can be achieved through a pet barrier, or if you have smaller animals, a high seat will work. If you can’t put your pet in the back of the car, pet car seats work great.  They keep the seat completely covered, and after a few uses, you can pull the them out and throw them in the washing machine.

Hopefully either of these solutions will prevent you from having to vacuum your car out several times each week.

Traveling for the Dogs

Whether you’ve just gotten a new puppy, or are considering taking your dogs on a trip, you should be aware of a few things beforehand. First of all, certain dogs (not restricted to any particular breed) just don’t like the car, it makes them sick. However if you introduce puppies to car travel early, there’s a good chance they will become acclimated to it and won’t mind once they’re older. For older dogs that get sick, you may want to try a drug like Dramamine, but you need to consult your Veterinarian beforehand on the dosage.

In addition to combating motion sickness, you don’t want your dog moving around too much in the car in case of an accident or a quick step on the brakes, so try to keep them calm and preferably sleeping on the floor. You may also want to consider a dog car harness to keep your pets confined to one area of the car where they can’t get into trouble.

Fido is an excitable dog who loves to live dangerously and is more than just a bit on the wild side. He insists on riding loose in the back seat of the car because he wants the freedom to check things out both side windows, and the back window too if something is attractive to him.

Fido’s parents understand his desire for freedom. They even encourage him and help him out by rolling down the side windows so Fido can stick his head out and suck in the wind. If this is you and your dog, I have a question for you. Where will Fido be when you slam on the break?

This Dog needs to Buckle up! A Pet Vehicle Safety Harness is a great solution for dogs who can’t stay still and behave themselves in the Back seat. Actually it is a good solution for any dog as well as the dog owner who cares about the safety of their dog.

Are you one of the many dog owners who is not comfortable with letting your dog ride loose in the car? Does your dog get nervous when you hit a bump, or slam on the breaks for a sudden stop? A Dog Car Harness, often referred to as a Pet Vehicle Safety Harness, is designed with your pet’s safety and comfort in mind.  Use of a Dog Car Harness improves safety by reducing potential distractions for the driver.
The Harness is designed with your pet’s safety and comfort in mind. Heavy-duty straps attach to a fully-padded, fleece-lined safety vest, FULL METAL connectors are used at all the load bearing points.
The safety leash is made from a special material that is strength-rated, but provides a slight amount of stretch to absorb shock in the case of a sudden stop. The unique leash design integrates with the vehicle’s seat belt tensioning device, thus providing range of motion while traveling, but in the case of a sudden stop it locks in place to keep pets secure. This design also makes it easy to load and unload your pet, and installs easily in ALL vehicles. Use of a vehicle safety harness improves safety by reducing potential distractions for the driver. The pet fells secure, which means less barking or whimpering and less stress for all involved.
